Fire alarm causes fright and confusion among faculty and students

Logan Gibson | Raider Staff

On Thursday, October 12, the fire alarm went off during sixth block. At first many students thought that this was just another drill, but when looking at the teachers’ concerned expressions, students quickly realized that this wasn’t a drill.

Within a couple of minutes the fire department arrived at the school, which amplified the worries of the students.  But, it turns out that there wasn’t actually a fire. Then after hours, during fall sports practices, the alarm went off  again.

Assistant Principal Rick Brown said, “The official cause of the fire on Thursday had to do with a new module that was
put in the office to alert us when something happens over at the annex. It was a programming issue and not a cause for concern.”
