Cadets Compete In The Annual Area 5 Competition

Each year the ROTC cadets at Loudoun County High School compete in the annual Area 5 competition. This year they successfully earned places such as first for the armed exhibition drill team, third for unarmed exhibition, first for the relay race, second for academic and third overall. Sophomores Isabella Boland, Anna Buer, Kellan Bohret, Evie Calvert, Ben Lierni and Logan Delurante get excited on the way down to the biggest competition of the year for the unit at Virginia Beach. She is a sophomore at Loudoun County High School and this is her first year being part of The County Chronicle and she loves creative writing as well as investigative stories. This year will be her second year being involved in LCHS’s lacrosse team which she plans on continuing through the rest of her high school years . Also outside of school she loves hanging out with friends and listening to music in her free time.

Evelyn Kuzminski, editor-in-chief
Evelyn Kuzminski is a senior at Loudoun County High School. In addition to two years as the layout editor and a staff writer, she serves this year as an editor in chief for The County Chronicle. She attends the Academy of Engineering & Technology, where she has taken courses in math, science, entrepreneurship, and information technology. Outside of school, Evelyn enjoys coaching youth volleyball, hostessing at a local restaurant, traveling, hiking, and listening to Taylor Swift.
