Artist Katherine Garvey, “I’ve always been doing art, my mom is an art teacher, so what else what I be doing?” She says with a laugh, “It feels really good to be here, my art looks much better hung up than in a bag sitting on my floor!” She is in AP Art this year and plans to get her BFA at JMU as well as her teaching license.
