This hot chocolate from Goosecup, has not only a pretty exterior, but a hint of cinnamon and a creamy composition, making this a rich, chocolate-y beverage for a cold day. Goosecup has been open since 2021 and serves a variety of hot and cold beverages, and is open well after school ends to make it a perfect study spot.

Under the sponsorship of Spanish teacher Matthew Landers, the Latin club has been able to keep the Roman culture alive through arts and crafts, events, such as Trunk or Treat, and mythology.

Each year at the Military ball, NJROTC cadets are allowed to bring along two guests to join them for the night. Additionally, they can also put in requests for seating arrangements, picking who will be seated with them at their table. “I decided to sit with my table because we all sat together at the Ball during our freshman year,” Canic said. “We wanted to keep the tradition alive.” Canic also recalled her favorite memory from the night, stating that “dancing at the end” was the most memorable. Scarlett Ashford is a sophomore at Loudoun County High School, and this is her second year as a staff writer for The County Chronicle. She enjoys playing softball, has been playing piano for the past 8 years, and is 4th chair French horn for the Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra. She spends her free time writing, reading, listening to rock music, and watching horror/thriller movies.
